Communities of Indigenous American descent
Mental health is woven into the culture of communities of Indigenous American descent. The holistic view of well-being values physical, emotional, and spiritual dimensions of health. In many of these communities, mental health is a collective matter. It impacts the entire community and nature as a whole. Supporting mental health in communities of Indigenous descent helps preserve their unique heritages.
