Chronic health conditions increase the risk of contracting COVID-19 and the severity of the infection once contracted. Due to the higher rates of chronic health conditions in BIPOC communities, this means they are bearing the brunt of COVID-19 cases and complications. Shelter in place and other physical distancing requirements create challenges in caring for chronic health conditions.
In this free, 60 minute webinar, we will discuss how BIPOC are coping with COVID and their chronic health conditions including:
- COVID-19 infection and mortality rates in BIPOC communities
- challenges in accessing care for chronic health conditions during COVID-19
- patient and provider perspectives on chronic health conditions during COVID-19
