Exploring the need for cultural consideration in youth crisis care

The Covid-19 Pandemic has changed how adults, youth, and children experience the world. Youth are facing increased mental health challenges, reporting sadness, hopelessness, and disengagement in usual activities, even in our post-pandemic environment. To best meet the emerging needs of youth with mental health concerns and serious mental illness, it is imperative we begin by learning more about clients as a whole. Identifying youth's beliefs, culture, and background help inform the most effective treatment interventions.

Join us for this free, 60-minute webinar where attendees will:

  • Explore the benefits of viewing individuals through a cultural lens
  • Describe ways culture can impact youth during a crisis incident
  • Identify how spirituality or culture can be a protective factor during a crisis.
