Cultural Context: Bridging Generational Gaps in BIPOC Mental Health
July is Bebe Moore Campbell National Minority Mental Health Awareness Month! Join us for a discussion on the generational differences BIPOC communities experience when talking about and caring for their mental health. This session will provide a safe space to explore strategies for bridging these gaps, and offer practical advice on initiating conversations, seeking support, and embracing culturally relevant approaches to mental well-being.
During this 60-minute webinar, attendees will:
- Hear from those with lived experiences about how mental health is viewed in their culture and intergenerationally
- Identify common generational barriers and challenges BIPOC communities face regarding mental health
- Explore strategies for starting open conversations about mental health within families and communities while respecting cultural norms and values
